Careline Homecare Products

Careline Homecare

We have a wide range of Careline Homecare products here at LifeConnect24. We provide the elderly and disabled residents of the Republic of Ireland with items such as the personal alarm, Key Safes, and Smoke Detectors.

Personal Alarm

Our main piece of Careline Homecare is the life-saving personal alarm system. Our device consists of the Lifeline Vi Alarm unit and the MyAmie Pendant. Our personal alarm has been designed for elderly, frail and disabled people who are living alone.

The base unit is user-friendly and will only take a few minutes to install. The unit simply plugs into your telephone socket and a power supply. You the connect your telephone into the back of the unit, with the adaptor provided.

The MyAmie Pendant can be worn around the neck or wrist, with both attachments included. It is waterproof for use in the shower and thanks to a range of up to 100 metres, it will also work outside in the garden.

Careline Homecare Monitoring

Your personal alarm and detectors are monitored by our highly-skilled, 24-hour Response Team. Should you press your pendant or if your detector alarm is raised, the Response Team will be alerted immediately.

A team member will respond over the base unit loudspeaker, assess the situation and react accordingly. This will involve  calling for your emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services. The Response Team will also have a copy of your Key Safe code so that the paramedics can gain entry to your home.

Recommended Service

The services provided by Lifeline24 in Ireland are constantly being recommended by professional doctors and carers. These health professionals demand the highest standard of Telecare for their patients and customers.

We welcome patient referrals from doctors and carers, who believe that their patient could benefit from a personal alarm, or any of our Careline Homecare products. We also welcome orders from family and friends who wish to buy an alarm for their loved ones, to improve their independence and allow them to stay at home.

Smoke Detectors

You can purchase a Smoke Detector from LifeConnect24. This is an essential device in your home and could end-up saving your life. Our detector comes with that something extra, as they are linked to our personal alarm system.

If activated, the detector will send an alert to our 24/7 Response Team, who will react instantly. A team member will contact you over your alarm loudspeaker to see if you are okay. They will then call for the emergency services and your emergency contacts if the situation requires them.

The Response Team work 365 days a year to ensure you always have somebody to call for help.

Key Safes

We also have a range of Key Safes on offer, to help add extra security to your home. A Key Safe is a secure metal container which is installed on the outside of your property. Once installed you can store your spare house keys inside, behind a secure combination lock.

Only people selected by you will have access to your spare keys. This is a much safer option than hiding your keys under a plant pot or door mat. Key Safes are a great addition to a personal alarm order as our Response Team can have a copy of your code - ready just encase you require medical attention and the door is locked.

How the System Works

Once the Lifeline Alarm and MyAmie Pendant have been set-up you will be covered by our 24/7 Care Team. The highly-trained team work 365 days a year to ensure you receive the best possible service.

If you have a fall or feel unwell then you just need to press the red help button on your pendant. Our Care Team will receive an alert call and will respond immediately. A member of the team will speak with you over the Lifeline Alarm base unit loudspeaker, before deciding the best form of action.

This will commonly involve them contacting your emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services. Emergency contacts usually consist of family members, close friends and neighbours. Your medical details will also be given to the paramedics so that they are in the best possible position to help once they arrive.

The fall alarm sensors and detectors on all devices use an algorithm to recognise the difference between ‘hard’ falls and other movements. They cannot guarantee to detect all falls because it is dependent on where and how it is worn and if it can detect the fall. For this reason if you have had a fall or need assistance you should press your emergency pendant or alarm box if you are able.
